Is there a better way to grow lacrosse than one smile at a time?

The fourth annual National Celebrate Lacrosse Week is set for Nov. 2-10, 2024 and a key highlight of the celebration will be free USA Lacrosse Pick Up & Play introductory clinics around the country. USA Lacrosse is currently soliciting hosts for these clinics for the 2024 cycle.

Note: If your organization was one of the official participating Pick Up & Play clinic hosts for 2023 National Celebrate Lacrosse Week, please email NCLW@usalacrosse.com for a link to the returning host application.

A record 3,774 players registered for one of the 93 Pick Up & Play clinics held during National Celebrate Lacrosse Week in 2023. Nine sites offered Spanish-speaking coaches, one site featured Choctaw speaking coaches and one site offered a clinic for wheelchair / adaptive participation and a clinic for participants with cognitive disabilities.

USA Lacrosse provides the curriculum and all equipment necessary for these clinics in addition to marketing assets, a registration portal, insurance coverage and additional program support to allow players to be introduced to the sport at no cost. By partnering with local lacrosse organizations, these Pick Up & Play clinics provide a natural pathway for participants to continue their lacrosse journey after the clinic.

National Celebrate Lacrosse Week is one unifying element of the Elevate28 initiative, a national effort led by eight key lacrosse organizations with a goal to double lacrosse participation by the end of the decade. Elevate28 includes Athletes Unlimited, the Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association, the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association, Joe Tsai Sports, the National Lacrosse League, the Premier Lacrosse League, USA Lacrosse and World Lacrosse.

In the first three years of National Celebrate Lacrosse Week, more than 9,000 young players have been introduced to the sport through Pick Up & Play clinics.
